Licensing

Do I need a licence to run ASReml for Python?

Yes. ASReml for Python requires a valid licence from VSN International. The Installation Guide covers activating a licence once the package is installed.

Can I use my existing ASReml licence?

Licences are issued per product. Contact support to check what your current licence covers.

Platforms and versions

Which Python versions are supported?

Python 3.8 or later, on Windows, Linux and macOS.

Does it work in Jupyter notebooks?

Yes. The plotting functions detect a notebook environment and render plots inline; outside a notebook they open in a browser window.
